Wake up! More than fine…

// January 22nd, 2009 // Life

It is so easy to sleepwalk through life making our number one goal not to be bothered. Find yourself always saying you are fine or okay when people ask? I don’t know about you but often I’d rather be bad than okay. When everything is fine… when everything is okay… you don’t fight your way out. It becomes so easy to get sucked deeper and deeper into mediocrity and complacency.

When things get bad it forces you to refocus, to fall back on what really matters. You find out what your foundations are. You are forced to fight. You don’t want to stay there and you figure out how to get where you want to be.

I for one want more than fine. I want more than just okay. I don’t have any idea what God has planned for my life but if I’m ever just fine or okay I can’t imagine I’m living in accordance with it.

Aren’t we all looking for an adventure? Don’t we all want to play the hero in our little part of the bigger story?

I don’t know. Maybe it is just me. Anybody else hate fine?

    Thanks for the encouragement. Next one is already written and you make
    a guest appearance (including a plug for your blog).

  2. I agree. I hate it when people tell they are fine and I hate feeling like I am just taking up space. Thank for the AM refresher, I look forward to the next one.
