Nothing Too Big, Nothing Too Small

// April 14th, 2009 // Faith

I’m reading In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day by Mark Batterson. This quote really jumped out at me:

God is great not just because nothing is too big for him. God is great but because nothing is too small for him either. – Mark Batterson

Jesus’ first miracle – changing water into wine. Kind of trivial no? Elisha prayed for a sunken axe head to float. Trivial right?

How often do we not trust God for the small things? How often do we think, “this is no big deal. I can take care of this one on my one.” I’ve been writing a lot about small things. About serving no matter how trivial what we are doing might seem. About helping even if we can only help one person. How cool is that we have a God who cares about small things? How cool is it that we have a God who is there for us in ALL things not just big things or small things? God cares about small things and he can work through us in them; to build us up, to build others up, to change a life, to change the world…

Nothing too great, nothing to small for our God.
